snow day

The day of the big snow, tuesday, we decided to take the day off and just enjoy the snow. We had a big breakfast which we ate slowly, played with Birdie and in the afternoon we all bundled up to take Birdie sledding! For the first time! It was an absolute blast! There's nothing like seeing the snow hours after it falls, untouched and clean. Birdie's sled made fresh tracks along the road and her eyes were wide from amazement and excitement. We were finally forced back in side when the wind picked up and the snow began to fall heavily again. Back in side we warmed up with some tea and some good old running around. It was a cozy, lazy day and one I'll remember for ages.
